The year 2023 has started on a wonderful note for me! I am all set to take on a new challenge and embark on an exciting new adventure.
I recently joined HR.com’s➔ Advisory Board that aims to help senior HR Executives fully understand the importance of technologies, tools, and solutions that L&D professionals use to offer learning and development in today’s high-tech information age.
In my role as a member of the Advisory Board, I will be able to enhance my own knowledge by sharing it to contribute to the growth of the industry. As they say, knowledge shared is knowledge squared and I couldn’t agree more!
Over the years, I have had the privilege of building UpsideLMS➔ to a global learning solutions company. I wear many hats at UpsideLMS. I am a key idea contributor to the tech-ops team as well as Sales & Marketing teams. I also play the role of a learning technology solutions consultant for clients and prospects. But more than anything else, I am often a sounding board of ideas for my entire team. This journey has cumulatively presented me with an immense number of opportunities to learn from my team, our partners, and, most importantly, our esteemed customers.
I am happy that I now have the chance to share this learning forward!
In fact, the learning and development technology landscape is experiencing some very exciting times at the moment. There is an abundance of powerful tech advancements waiting to be explored. The likes of ChatGPT and other generative AI technologies➔ have ushered in new horizons in the HR and L&D space. It’s time we all put our best foot forward to leverage and make the most of these developments. As a part of the Board, I will be happy to share my learnings, given that I witness this technological transformation up, close and personal, every single day!
Another thing that excites me is the prospect of learning from other experts in the field. The Advisory Board comprises highly experienced and learned professionals who are passionate about driving the industry forward. Our collective aim will be to gain insights from each other as we promote thought leadership, best practices, and industry direction while helping advance the competencies and skills of HR professionals.
Some of my key work as a member of the HR.com Advisory Board will include:
- Helping establish the objectives and desired outcomes of HR.com’s yearly primary research initiative The Future of Learning Technologies 2023
- Ensuring actionable data to help HR Professionals have tools and key takeaways
- Sharing insights, expertise and experiences as a featured contributor to HR.com’s varied publications
While it is an exciting proposition to be a part of this elite panel, I am also well aware of the responsibility it brings. As members, we will have to be agile and flexible in our perspectives, in turn, adding value to the overall process and decisions.
Nonetheless, I am eagerly looking forward to exploring new avenues in my capacity by stimulating robust, high-quality conversations and actions with fellow members. I know with certainty that this association will be a pathway to look at emerging trends in learning technologies, among other things.
I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues and to seeing the impact we can make together. I believe our collective efforts and insights will certainly help in creating an effective repository of learning resources for HR and L&D teams.
